About HaïPlast Recycling
Founded in 2011, HaïPlast Recycling S.A. has been at the forefront of recycling innovation in Haiti for over 12 years.
Our mission is to reduce plastic waste, improve working conditions for plastic collectors, and educate the population on proper waste management.

From Environmental & Social Challenges to Better Future Proof Solution
In Port-Au-Prince, only 7% of waste is collected by public services, with the rest ending up in unofficial dumps or waterways.
Plastic waste clogs drainage systems, causing flooding, and eventually reaches the ocean where 98% of solid waste found in the sea is plastic material.
Waste collectors work in dangerous conditions without proper equipment, earning only about $4 per day to support families of 6+ people.

Our dedicated network of collectors gather plastic waste from various sources across Haiti.
Sorting
Materials are carefully sorted by type: PET, HDPE, LDPE, PP, and EPS.
Washing
Thorough cleaning removes contaminants and prepares plastics for processing.
Processing
Plastics are shredded, melted, and transformed into new raw materials for manufacturing.
